How can teachers and parents prevent fights at school?

I'm doing a persuasive essay on preventing fights from happening at schools.What are some ways teachers and parents can prevent fights from happening.Some websites would be great too!

1. I don't think teachers and parents can do anything right now!
2. If kids want to fight, send them to the gym, put the gloves on and have them monitored by a capable coach. It is human nature to fight and preventing it is exactly what brings out the worst of it. When we suppress these urges to such an extent that they are effectively oblierated from society, the anxiety builds. Sooner or later someone shows up with an assault rifle.
3. Well my school has a cop that has an office in the school. I don't know if we are the only one who does have one, but there have been less fights happening around my school. So having a cop at our school really helped.
